Estudo do meio : a cultura italiana e o ensino de história e geografia nas séries iniciais do ensino fundamental

Abstract

O presente trabalho busca analisar uma experiência metodológica com o ensino de História e Geografia nas séries iniciais do Ensino Fundamental - ESTUDO DO MEIO -, relacionando-o com a cultura dos descendentes dos imigrantes italianos, realizado durante o ano de 2000 nos municípios de Bento Gonçalves e Garibaldi na Região Colonial Italiana do Rio Grande do Sul. A base teórica que alicerça esta proposta metodológica visa realizar o trabalho utilizando-se da Pedagogia de Freire - temas geradores -, aliando-os às técnicas pedagógicas de Freinet e tendo a cultura italiana pensada através das idéias de Brandão sobre cultura popular. A tese registra a construção histórica da metodologia proposta; os fundamentos teóricos do ensino de História e Geografia nas séries iniciais; a cultura italiana e a escola; descreve as etapas do experimento e analisa a experiência nas falas dos professores e alunos que participaram da pesquisa.

The current writing has an intention to analize an methodological experience the teaching of History and Geography in the first years of Fundamental Teaching - MIDDLE STUDY -, relating it with the culture of the italian imigrant's descendents, done during the year 2000 in the Bento Gonçalves and Garibaldi city councils in the italian colony region of Rio Grande do Sul. The theorical basis that sustains this methodological proposal has an intention to make the work using Freire's Pedagogy - generator themes-, putting them together with the pedagogic techniques of Freinet and having the italian culture thought of thru the ideas of Brandão about popular culture. The theory registers the historic construction of the proposed methodology; the theoric foundings of the teaching of History and Geography in the early years; the italian culture and school; describes the stages of the experiment and analyzes the experience in the speeches of teachers and students that were part of the research.
