Trauma e memória : uma leitura psicanalítica sobre resistência e testemunho em Primo Levi

Abstract

Esta dissertação retrata uma pesquisa que explorou temáticas pertinentes à literatura de testemunho, desde uma perspectiva que a situa como relevante convocatória à reflexão sobre a força de resistência subjetiva frente ao efeito devastador do traumático. Buscou se privilegiar a leitura psicanalítica sobre trauma e memória na aproximação com a literatura de testemunho, mais especialmente, com a produção de Primo Levi. Para tal, foram escolhidas três obras do autor: “É Isto um Homem?”, “A Trégua” e “Os Afogados e os Sobreviventes”. A partir do delineamento metodológico da leitura desconstrutiva foram propostos de três capítulos: O desvelamento da crueldade e os impactos na existência do sujeito; Sonhos apesar de tudo e Escrever para não esquecer: dar crédito ao trauma, à memória, e à criação. Considera-se o testemunho como uma modalidade fundamental de criação subjetiva cuja potência de seus desdobramentos reside na resistência frente ao horror e crueldade próprias ao campo do traumático.

This dissertation explores themes pertinent to testimonial literature, from a perspective that situates it as a relevant call to reflection on the strength of subjective resistance in the face of the devastating effect of trauma. It was sought to privilege the psychoanalytic reading of trauma and memory in approaching testimonial literature, especially with the production of Primo Levi. To do so, three works by the author were chosen: If This Is a Man, The Truce and The Drowned and the Survivors. Based on the methodological outline of the deconstruction reading, three reflective chapters were proposed: The unveiling of cruelty: the impacts on the subject's existence; Dreams despite everything and Writing so as not to forget: giving credit to trauma, memory, and creation. Testimony is a fundamental modality of the subjective creation whose power of its consequences resides in the resistance to the horror and the cruelty typical of the traumatic field.
