POLFEST : a construção da identidade cultural polonesa em Guarani das Missões, RS

Abstract

Esse trabalho teve como objeto de pesquisa conhecer os traços da identidade cultural polonesa a partir da POLFEST, festa que ocorre no Município de Guarani das Missões-RS. O objetivo principal da pesquisa foi de verificar a importância humana e social que há em fazer parte de grupos humanos ligados ou unidos por modos e saberes específicos. No caso do Município de Guarani das Missões discorreu-se sobre a etnia polonesa, que povoou o município a partir da segunda metade do século XIX. Além disso, investigou-se a festividade como elo responsável pela manutenção da memória ancestral dos imigrantes poloneses e seus descendentes. Também foi analisado como mantenedor das tradições, o conjunto de elementos que fazem parte da cultura étnica polonesa presentes no festejo, como a gastronomia, a indumentária típica e as danças folclóricas. Através desse Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso verificou-se que a POLFEST por intermédio de sua performática festiva, contribuiu para a redescoberta e valorização da identidade cultural étnica polonesa. Também se verificou a relevância dessa festividade como fato social mantenedor das tradições dessa cultura no município de Guarani das Missões.

This work had as the subject of research know the traits of the Polish cultural identity based on POLFEST, festival that takes place in the city of Guarani das Missões - RS. The main objective of the research was to demonstrate the human and social importance that exists in to do part of human groups, linked or united by modes and specific knowledge. In the case of the city of the Guarani das Missões, this work spoke up about the Polish ethnicity, that mostly has populated the city since the second half of the 19th century. Furthermore, was investigated the festivity as a link responsible for the conservation of the ancestral memory of the Polish immigrants in its descendants. Was also analyzed, as maintainer of traditions, the set of elements that are part of Polish ethnic culture, that are present in the celebration, as the gastronomy, the typical clothing and folkloric dances. With this graduation final work, it was found that the Polfest festival, through its festive performance, contributed to the rediscovery and appreciation of the Polish ethnic cultural identity. Also was verified the relevance of this festival, as a social fact, maintainer of the traditions of this culture in the municipality of the Guarani das Missões.
