Perfil dos alunos no ensino médio público na cidade de Veranópolis/RS

Abstract

Este trabalho tem como objetivo compreender qual é o perfil dos estudantes de ensino médio público na cidade serrana de Veranópolis/RS, bem como, entender se, de algum modo, a herança cultural, incentivo familiar, rendimento escolar pode ter reflexo no desempenho dos alunos do Ensino Médio. O referencial teórico baseia-se nos conceitos do capital cultural (BOURDIEU,1970), habitus (BOURDIEU, 2003), violência simbólica (BOURDIEU, 1998) características socioeconômicas e culturais dos estudantes e o reflexo do capital cultural no desempenho escolar. A metodologia utilizada neste trabalho foi a pesquisa de campo que corresponde à aplicação de questionário físico formado por dezoito perguntas em trinta e dois alunos, aleatoriamente selecionados de ensino médio do Colégio Estadual São Luiz Gonzaga. O Colégio Estadual São Luiz Gonzaga é o único educandário destinado a atender alunos de ensino médio da rede estadual do município de Veranópolis/RS, por este motivo decidimos realizar tal pesquisa nesta instituição.

This work has as its main objective to analyze the profile of high school students of the public system in the mountain town of Veranópolis/RS and if the cultural heritage, family incentive and school performance can in some way have an impact on the academic development of the high school students. The Theoretical reference is based on the concepts of cultural capital (BOURDIEU,1970), habitus (BOURDIEU, 2003), symbolic violence (BOURDIEU, 1998) socioeconomic and cultural traits often seen on the students and the reflex of the cultural capital on the school performance. The Methodology utilized in this work was a field research that consisted of applying a physical questionnaire composed of eighteen questions on thirty-two students, randomly selected from the highschool of the Colegio Estadual São Luiz Gonzaga. Colégio Estadual São Luiz Gonzaga is the only education institution dedicated to attending the public school system for high school students at the state network in the town of Veranópolis/RS, for that reason we decided to perform the research at this institution.
