Venezuelanas no Brasil: interfaces da comunicação em experiências migratórias

Abstract

Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo geral compreender o papel da comunicação nas experiências migratórias de mulheres venezuelanas no Brasil. Os objetivos específicos são: (I) mapear o processo de chegada de migrantes e refugiadas venezuelanas no Brasil, na fronteira de Pacaraima/RR; (II) identificar a presença da comunicação nas experiências migratórias de venezuelanas, no momento de chegada no Brasil, priorizando as organizações da Operação Acolhida e (III) analisar a produção de sentidos das mulheres venezuelanas em relação à comunicação presente no processo de chegada no Brasil, em Pacaraima/RR. Ao longo da pesquisa, o olhar intercultural perpassa a discussão teórica, envolvendo conceitos de comunicação, cultura, migração e gênero em articulação com diferentes autoras/es. Em relação à estratégia teóricometodológica, trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa e exploratória, compreendendo a pesquisa bibliográfica e documental em livros, teses, dissertações e artigos científicos para construção do estado da arte. Em relação aos dados documentais, as principais fontes de pesquisa são sites e documentos digitais de órgãos do governo federal, organizações que atuam na Operação Acolhida em Pacaraima e em notícias. Para análise do produto midiático, é utilizada a técnica análise documental. Em relação aos dados observacionais, a partir de uma inspiração etnográfica, são utilizadas as técnicas: observação participante e entrevista semiestruturada com quatro mulheres migrantes e refugiadas vivendo no novo território, além do diário de campo. Os resultados da pesquisa contemplam o mapeamento dos possíveis papéis da comunicação em contextos migratórios em prol da mulher migrante e refugiada. É nesse contexto inconstante e dinâmico que a comunicação passa a exercer um papel indispensável pela sobrevivência no país de chegada/acolhida. No novo território, a importância da informação correta e clara é fundamental para garantia de direitos, para compreensão dos processos de regularização migratória, para o empoderamento das mulheres no enfrentamento à violência de gênero e para a tentativa de reconstrução de uma nova vida.

This research has as a general objective to comprehend the role of communication in the migratory experiences of Venezuelan women in Brazil. The specific objectives are: (I) to map the process of arrival of Venezuelan women's migrants and refugees in Brazil, at the border of Pacaraima/RR; (II) to identify the presence of communication in the migratory experiences of these women, in the moment of arriving in Brazil, prioritizing the organizations of Operation Welcome (Operação Acolhida) and (III) to analyze the women migrants' production of meanings in relation to the communication present in the process of arrival in Brazil, in Pacaraima/RR. Throughout the research, intercultural look permeates the theoretical discussion, involving concepts of communication, culture, migration, and gender, in articulation with different authors. Regarding the theoretical and methodological strategy, this is a qualitative and exploratory research, including the bibliographic and documentary research in books, theses, dissertations, and scientific articles to build the state of the art. Regarding the documentary data, the main sources of research are websites and digital documents of federal government agencies, organizations that work in Operation Welcome in Pacaraima and in news. For the analysis of the media product, is used the documentary analysis technique. Regarding the observational data collection, from an ethnographic inspiration, the techniques that are used are: participant observation and semi-structured interview with four women migrant and refugee living in the new territory, in addition to the field diary. The results of the research contemplate the mapping of the possible roles of communication in migratory contexts in favor of migrant and refugee women. It is in this inconstant and dynamic context that communication starts to play an indispensable role for survival in the country of arrival/host country. In the new territory, the importance of correct and clear information is fundamental to guarantee rights, to understand the migratory regularization processes, to empower women to confront gender violence, and to the attempt to rebuild a new life.
