Música e matemática : possibilidades no ensino médio

Abstract

Este trabalho versa sobre algumas relações existentes entre Matemática e Música e a viabilidade de levá-las para a sala de aula por meio de oficinas interdisciplinares, utilizando a Teoria dos Registros de Representações Semióticas de Raymond Duval. Planejou-se uma sequência de atividades com comentários ao professor, abordando pontos que consideramos importantes sobre frações, razão, incomensurabilidade, ondulatória, acústica e teoria musical. O objetivo geral do trabalho é buscar entender algumas relações entre Música e Matemática e de que forma essas relações podem acrescentar de conhecimento matemático a alunos do Ensino Médio. Constatou-se na implementação das atividades que os alunos mobilizaram diversos registros de representação em suas respostas. Com as oficinas, consideramos atingidos nossos objetivos.

This paper deals with some relations between Mathematics and Music, and the viability of bringing them to the classroom through interdisciplinary workshops, using the Theory by Raymond Duval, Registers of Semiotic Representation. A sequence of activities with comments to the teacher was planned, addressing points that we consider important about fractions, ratio, incommensurability, sound waves, acoustic and musical theory. The general objective of this paper is to understand some relations between Music and Mathematics and how these relations can add mathematical knowledge to high school students. It was found in the implementation of the activities that the students mobilized several registers of representation in their answers. With the workshops, we consider our goals achieved.
