A emergência da extrema direita nos processos políticos europeus : passado e presente

Abstract

Esta monografia tem como tema a emergência dos movimentos de extrema-direita na Europa. Nela, será investigado o período histórico, marcado pela ascensão do fascismo no período entreguerras, até o século XXI, perpassando todo o intervalo da Guerra Fria. Na qual verifica-se as mudanças ocorridas dentro da extrema-direita para que se mantivesse até os dias atuais. Nesse sentido, é necessário relacionar o período entreguerras, identificando a ideologia do fascismo e seus condicionantes que possibilitaram sua ascensão durante a década de 1930, associando-os aos discursos dos movimentos e partidos de extrema-direita no pós-Guerra Fria, reconhecidos como “populistas de direita” na bibliografia europeia. Dessa forma, consegue-se explorar os possíveis resquícios do fascismo na extrema-direita atual, além de descobrir as causas da atual escalada de partidos políticos de extrema-direita e suas implicações para a democracia liberal.

This paper approaches the topic of the rise of far-right politics in Europe. Throughout this work it is analyzed the historical context, centered in the interwar period, when it was observed the ascension of fascism, until the present days, passing through the Cold War period and verifying the changes that occurred in the far right politics in order to ensure its own survival. In this sense, it is necessary to connect/associate the interwar period (identifying the fascist ideology and determinants that made possible its rise during the 1930s) with the rhetoric of the extreme right-wing movements and its parties in the post-Cold War, now called “right-wing populism” in the european bibliography. Hence, abling the reacher to recognize the possible remnants of fascism in the current extreme-right wing movements, also discovering the causes of the current emergence of far-right political parties and their implications for liberal democracy.
