Quando as mulheres estão no comando : as representações sociais de homens liderados por mulheres no trabalho

Abstract

Motivado pelo aumento do número de mulheres em posições de liderança nas organizações, este trabalho se insere no tema de gênero e trabalho na sociedade contemporânea. O objetivo principal desta monografia foi analisar as representações sociais de homens chefiados por mulheres no trabalho. Para tanto foi realizado um trabalho de campo com cinco homens liderados por mulheres e uma entrevista com uma mulher em cargo de direção, com fins de contextualização e controle, pois um dos entrevistados é seu subordinado. As dimensões das representações analisadas foram a legitimidade da mulher em cargos de liderança, a divisão sexual do trabalho e a igualdade de gênero no trabalho. A análise de conteúdo seguiu orientações de Triviños e contemplou as etapas de pré-análise, descrição analítica e interpretação referencial (Triviños, 1995). Concluiu-se que uma socialização profissional marcada pela presença de mulheres desempenhando papéis sociais de destaque aponta para uma contribuição no sentido de uma representação que oriente relações mais justas e igualitárias entre os gêneros.

Motivated by the increasing number of women in leadership positions in organizations, this work falls in the theme of gender and work in contemporary society. The main objective of this study was to analyze the social representations of men headed by women at work. To this end we carried out a fieldwork with five men led by women and also an interview with a woman in charge of direction, with the purpose of context and control, since one of the subjects of research is her subordinate. The dimensions of the representations analyzed were the legitimacy of women in leadership roles, the sexual division of labor and gender equality at work. The content analysis guidelines followed Triviños and included the following steps: pre-analysis, analytical description and interpretation of reference (Triviños, 1995). It was concluded that a professional socialization marked by the presence of women playing prominent roles points to a contribution in sense of a representation that orients a more just and equal relations between genders.
