Cercas de pedra : cultura material e práticas de espaço

Abstract

O presente trabalho parte da análise das cercas de pedra no Rio Grande do Sul, sob a ótica da cultura material e das práticas de espaço. Partindo da análise histórica da estrutura agrária no Brasil, a pesquisa chega ao ato de cercar, no caso das estruturas de pedra, cercar em um primeiro momento a produção. O fato de existirem produções diversas, assim como realidades coloniais diversas na região, acabam por apontar para diversas modalidades diferentes de cercamento, que assumirão essas características. São analisados não apenas o cercamento, mas a atividade desenvolvida nesse espaço. Por fim, outra característica relevante é a forma de produção das cercas. Essa técnica que definirá a autêntica cerca, e por sua vez, será o ela de ligação entre as realidades pesquisadas.

This work starts from the analysis of stone fences in Rio Grande do Sul, from the perspective of material culture and practices of space. Starting from the historical analysis of the agrarian structure in Brazil, the search reaches the act of fencing, in the case of stone structures, surround at first the production. The fact that there are several productions as well as various colonial realities in the region, end up pointing to several different types of fencing, which will assume these characteristics. Are not only analyzed the fencing, but the activity developed in this space. Finally, another important feature is the form of production of fences. This technique will define the authentic fence, and in turn, will be the liaison between the surveyed realities.
