Diálogos entre Teatro, Circo, Burlesco e Cinema Mudo : inspirações para atuação contemporânea

Abstract

O presente trabalho investiga as interseções entre teatro, burlesco, circo e cinema mudo, com foco no período do início do século XX, explorando como as técnicas e estéticas dessas artes, historicamente marginalizadas, podem contribuir para enriquecer o repertório da atuação contemporânea. Metodologicamente, a pesquisa baseia-se em revisão bibliográfica, análise de obras audiovisuais e experiências criativas vivenciadas pela autora, especialmente na criação de Esmeralda, montagem de seu Estágio de Atuação na graduação em Teatro. Os resultados destacam a importância de popularizar o conhecimento da linguagem teatral, e reafirmam o papel do teatro como pilar cultural e criativo da sociedade. Conclui-se que estudar a interdisciplinaridade entre teatro, circo burlesco e cinema mudo não só amplia as possibilidades criativas e técnicas para os atores, como também incentiva um retorno à essência artesanal dessas artes. Essa abordagem reforça a importância de contar histórias que dialoguem com o imaginário coletivo, ao mesmo tempo que fomenta a formação de atores mais completos, versáteis e conectados com as tradições e inovações da sua época.

The present work investigates the intersections between theater, burlesque, circus, and silent cinema, focusing on the early 20th century. It explores how the techniques and aesthetics of these historically marginalized arts can contribute to enriching the repertoire of contemporary acting. Methodologically, the research is based on a bibliographic review, analysis of audiovisual works, and and creative experiences lived by the author, especially in the creation of Esmeralda, setting up her Acting Internship during her undergraduate degree in Theater. The results highlight the importance of popularizing knowledge of theatrical language and reaffirm its role as a cultural and creative pillar of society. It is concluded that studying the interdisciplinarity between theater, burlesque, circus, and silent cinema not only expands the creative and technical possibilities for actors but also encourages a return to the artisanal essence of these arts. This approach reinforces the importance of telling stories that resonate with the collective imagination while fostering the development of actors who are more complete, versatile, and connected with both the traditions and innovations of their time.
