Abstract

Este artigo propõe um olhar para obras da artista brasileira Claudia Paim, especificamente os vídeos gravados e editados por ela. Procurou-se compreender como a artista via a paisagem, para tanto, foram analisadas suas fotoperformances da série Corpopaisagem e excertos de seus escritos. O estudo foi desenvolvido a partir da memória da autora sobre visitas a exposições, consulta de arquivos e acesso aos vídeos da artista disponíveis on-line. A definição depaisagem apoiou-se nas reflexões de Michel Collot. O texto tem os eixos: Como vista por seus olhos e gravada com a câmera; Corpopaisagem; A voz, a paisagem que sai pela boca e as traições da memória.

This article proposes a new view of the work of Brazilian artist Claudia Paim, specifically the videos recorded and edited by her. The aim was to understand how the artist saw the landscape, and for that, her photoperformances from the series Corpopaisagemand excerpts from her writings were analyzed. The study was developed from the author's memory of visits to exhibitions, research on archives, and access to the artist's videos available online. The definition of landscape was based on Michel Collot's reflections. The text has the axes: As seen through her eyes and recorded with the camera; Corpopaisagem; The voice, the landscape that comes out of her mouth, and the betrayals of memory.
