Agricultura familiar na alimentação escolar de Encantado/RS : compreensão dos estudantes do oitavo ano da Escola Centro Municipal de Educação Encantado/RS

Abstract

Este trabalho teve como tema a agricultura familiar na alimentação escolar de Encantado/ RS: compreensão dos estudantes do oitavo ano da Escola Centro Municipal de Educação Encantado. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo analisar e refletir sobre a relação entre a agricultura familiar e a alimentação escolar e de como os alunos viam esta relação. Buscou-se compreender a importância e a participação da agricultura familiar na alimentação escolar, como era este entendimento e se houve mudança de percepção dos alunos depois das atividades sobre agricultura familiar e alimentação saudável. Para tanto utilizou-se uma pesquisa com perguntas estruturadas, depois desta sondagem desenvolveu-se atividades referentes ao tema com palestra, vídeo animação e pesquisa dos alunos sobre determinados produtos, escolhidos por eles, oriundos da agricultura familiar e servidos na merenda escolar e por fim a construção de cards como sintetização dos dados pesquisados. O resultado observado durante os processos, desde a pesquisa até a construção dos cards, é que embora o tema agricultura familiar e alimentação saudável esteja de certa forma no cotidiano dos alunos, o entendimento ainda é cercado de dúvidas.Entende-se que agricultura familiar tem uma efetiva participação na alimentação diária das famílias brasileiras, seja através dos produtos cultivados para o próprio consumo, seja pelos produtos comercializados fato este que justifica a importância de se trabalhar o tema em aulas de geografia ao abordar a temática da fome na América Latina.

The theme of this work was family farming in school meals in Encantado/RS: understanding of eighth grade students at Escola Centro Municipal de Educação Encantado. This work aimed to analyze and reflect on the relationship between family farming and school meals and how students saw this relationship. We sought to understand the importance and participation of family farming in school meals, how was this understanding and whether there was a change in the students' perception after the activities on family farming and healthy eating. For that, a survey with structured questions was used, after this survey, activities related to the theme were developed with a lecture, video animation and research by students on certain products, chosen by them, from family farming and served in school lunches and finally the construction of cards as a synthesis of researched data. The result observed during the processes, from the research to the construction of the cards, is that although the theme of family farming and healthy eating is in a certain way in the students' daily lives, the understanding is still surrounded by doubts. It is understood that family farming has an effective participation in the daily diet of Brazilian families, either through products grown for their own consumption or through products sold, a fact that justifies the importance of working on the subject in geography classes when addressing the theme of hunger in Latin America.
