A imagem cristal no processo curatorial : estudo de caso em fotolivro

Abstract

Neste artigo, busco trazer o conceito de imagem cristal para o campo da curadoria, pensando em tal conceito como um operador no processo curatorial. Para tanto, buscarei demonstrar, como para mim curadora, espectadora interessada, a imagem cristal pode ser um operador em minhas escolhas dos artistas que aqui apresento bem como de seus respectivos trabalhos. Após, irei resgatar a curadoria em seu movimento histórico e entender suas premissas. Em seguida, apresento o fotolivro, sua forma, como o espaço curato rial sobre o qual irei me debruçar. O artista eleito para o estudo de caso é Miguel Rio Branco com o Silent Book A partir dessa superfície faço a minha própria curadoria de imagens guiada pelo conceito de imagem cristal, entendendo que, mesmo de modo inco nsciente, o conceito foi um operador da forma final de Silent Book.

In this article, I seek to bring the concept of crystal image to the field of curation, thinking of this concept as an operator in the curatorial process. For that, I will try to demonstrate, as for me a curator, an interested spectator, the crystal image can be an operator in my choices of the artists that I present here as well as their respective works. Afterwards, I will rescue the curatorship in its his torical movement and understand its premises. Next, I present the photobook, its form, as the curatorial space on which I will focus. The artist chosen for the case study is Miguel Rio Branco with the Silent Book. From this surface I do my own curation of images guided by the concept of crystal image, understanding that, even unconsciously, the concept was an operator of the final form of Silent Book.
