Inscrição de um artista a partir da curadoria : estudo de caso : Vera Wildner

Abstract

De que forma a curadoria pode contribuir para a inserção de novas narrativas no campo da arte tanto local/regional, quanto nacional? Pensando nas narrativas inscritas na história da arte e em seu processo de construção, bem como o poder legitimador de um curador de arte, a presente pesquisa investiga e promove uma análise do cenário artístico de Porto Alegre dos anos 80 a 2000 e da trajetória da artista Vera Wildner e evidencia o papel da curadoria para uma maior inscrição, legitimação e visibilidade de um artista, revelando mecanismos inseridos no sistema da arte, que estabelecem critérios para a inserção e exclusão de determinados artistas na história da arte do Rio Grande do Sul. A partir do estudo de caso lança estratégias para um maior reconhecimento da obra da artista Vera Wildner.

How can curatorship contribute to the insertion of new narratives in the field of art, both local/regional and national? Thinking of the narratives inscribed in the history of art and its construction process, as well as the legitimating power of an art curator, the present research investigates and promotes an analysis of Porto Alegre's artistic scene from the 1980s to 2000 and Vera Wildner's artist's trajectory, and highlights the role of curatorship for greater registration, legitimation, and visibility of an artist, revealing the mechanisms inserted in the art system, which establish criteria for the insertion and exclusion of certain artists in the history of art in Rio Grande do Sul. Based on the case study, it launches strategies for a possible recognition for the work of the artist Vera Wildner.
