O espaço do teatro para crianças no Departamento de Artes Dramáticas da UFRGS : limites e possibilidades

Abstract

O trabalho tem por objetivo evidenciar a urgência do estudo e da prática do teatro dedicado ao público infantil na formação acadêmica de nível superior do profissional de teatro. A reflexão parte da constatação da quantidade e qualidade de pesquisas no campo da Pedagogia do Teatro envolvendo as relações entre as artes cênicas e a infância, em contraposição à falta de espaço dedicado ao teatro para crianças nos Cursos de Bacharelado e Licenciatura em Teatro do Departamento de Arte Dramática (DAD) da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). A investigação dessa importante lacuna, observada pela autora no decorrer da sua formação, parte de uma análise documental dos currículos dos Cursos, por meio da reflexão sobre as súmulas e os planos de aula, do levantamento dos espetáculos participantes do Projeto Teatro, Pesquisa e Extensão (TPE), representativos da produção cênica do DAD, e de entrevistas fornecidas por estudantes em final de Curso. Se, por um lado, os resultados confirmam o espaço restrito do teatro para a infância na formação dos artistas e professores do DAD/UFRGS, por outro, possibilitam pensar sobre as causas e consequências da falta de estímulo ao estudo e à prática dessa vertente no meio acadêmico e, assim, vislumbrar possibilidades de mudança em favor da recepção teatral e dos praticantes de teatro.

The aim of this paper is to highlight the urgency of the study and practice of theater dedicated to children in higher education of theater professionals. The reflection comes from the finding of the quantity and quality of research in the field of Theater Pedagogy involving the relationship between the performing arts and childhood, in contrast to the lack of space dedicated to theater for children in the Courses of Department of Theater Bachelor and Degree Courses in the Department of Dramatic Art (DAD) of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). The investigation of this important gap, observed by the author during her formation, starts from a documentary analysis of the curriculum of the Courses, through the reflection on the curriculum sheet and lesson plans, the survey of the participant plays of the Theater, Research and Extension Project. (TPE), representative of the scenic production of DAD, and interviews provided by students at the end of the Course. If, on the one hand, the results confirm the restricted space of theater for childhood in the formation of DAD / UFRGS artists and teachers, on the other, they make it possible to think about the causes and consequences of the lack of stimulation to the study and practice of this aspect in the academic environment and thus envision possibilities for change in favor of theater reception and theater practitioners.
