A construção de uma ironwoman : a trajetória esportiva de Verônica Bardini

Abstract

Atraído pela crescente inserção da mulher no meio esportivo, seja como atleta ou como treinadora, este trabalho tem por objetivo narrar a trajetória de uma reconhecida triatleta gaúcha, Verônica Bardini, e através de seu depoimento verificar as dificuldades enfrentadas por ela neste meio. Fundamentada na abordagem teórico-metodológica da história oral, esta pesquisa privilegia como fonte primária de informação a entrevista com Verônica, que foi processada de acordo com os seguintes procedimentos metodológicos: identificação da personagem a ser entrevistada; elaboração do roteiro; realização da entrevista; processamento da entrevista (transcrição, conferência de fidelidade, pesquisa e leitura final). Esta pesquisa proporciona visibilidade a um grupo restrito de mulheres, as triatletas, focando principalmente a prova do Ironman. Compreender os fatores motivacionais para a realização desta prova por uma mulher – quando a maioria dos participantes são homens – é o que pretende este trabalho.

With the growing insertion of women into the sports environment, as an athlete or as a trainer, this research has by objective, describe the trajectory of a recognized triatlhete, Verônica Bardini, and trough her testimony, check the difficulties faced by her in the sport environment. Principled in theoretical and methodological approach of oral history, the research emphasis as the primary sources of information the interview with Verônica, that were processed according to the following methodology: identification of the character to be interviewed; drafting roadmaps; conducting the interview; processing of the interview (transcript, conference of loyalty and final reading). This research provides visibility to a restrict group of women, the triathletes, focusin mainly in the Ironman competition. Understand the motivational factors to consummate this competition by a woman – when the majority of the contenders are men – is a result of this research.
