Os jovens e as representações das narrativas literárias de horror no YouTube

Abstract

Esta pesquisa aborda as narrativas literárias de horror e suas representações difundidas pelos jovens na plataforma digital YouTube. O objetivo da pesquisa é verificar e elencar as representações disseminadas entre os jovens sobre as narrativas literárias; elencar e analisar as representações das mesmas através dos relatos dos jovens a respeito das obras nos vídeos, e de analisar a receptividade dos vídeos, por meio dos comentários postados pelos usuários na plataforma. A pesquisa possui abordagem qualitativa e de acordo com seus objetivos, também é descritiva. Três obras literárias de horror foram escolhidas para a busca na plataforma YouTube: Edgar Allan Poe: Medo Clássico; O Iluminado de Stephen King e Os Sete de André Vianco. As técnicas de coletas de dados empregadas foram a observação da quantidade de vídeos e visualizações acerca das obras para selecionar os cinco vídeos mais visualizados de cada narrativa e assim, analisar dez comentários mais recentes feito pelos usuários. A análise de conteúdo (AC) foi utilizada para interpretação e tratamento dos resultados, assim como para a elaboração das representações extraídos dos discursos e performances dos jovens sobre o autor; o livro (como objeto); e as impressões sobre a narrativa Analisou-se também as motivações sobre a escolha da obra, as expectativas e as sensações dos jovens sobre a leitura. Para melhor compreensão sobre a atuação (performance) dos jovens youtubers foram analisados os comentários dos usuários (espectadores). Dos quinze vídeos pretendidos para a análise, apenas onze foram analisados por atenderem os critérios estipulados pela pesquisa. Dos 150 comentários pretendidos para a análise, apenas 91 foram obtidos e analisados por atenderem os critérios definidos pela pesquisa. Conclui-se que a Internet é o ambiente ideal para os usuários do YouTube interagirem e conhecerem mais sobre as obras literárias. Os vídeos podem ser considerados uma ferramenta útil para os bibliotecários de qualquer biblioteca, principalmente nos processos de seleção e desenvolvimento de coleção, e sendo, portanto, um aspecto a ser estudado no contexto acadêmico na área da Biblioteconomia.

This research approaches the literary horror stories and its representations spread by young people on the YouTube digital platform. The aim of the research is to verify and list the representations disseminated among young people about literary narratives; to list and analyze its representations through young people's reports about the works displayed on the videos, and to analyze the receptivity of the videos through the comments posted by users on the platform. The research has qualitative approach and it is a descriptive work, in accordance with its aims. Three literary works of horror were chosen for the search on YouTube platform: Edgar Allan Poe: Classic Fear; The Shining by Stephen King and The Seven by André Vianco. The data collection techniques used were the observation of the amount of videos and views related to the works in order to select the five most viewed videos of each narrative for later analysis of the ten most recent comments made by users. The content analysis was used for the interpretation and processing of the results, as well as for the elaboration of the representations drawn from the speeches and performances of young people about the author; the book (as object); and the impressions about the narrative The motivations about the choice of the work, the expectations and the sensations of the young people about the reading were also analyzed. The users' comments (viewers) were analyzed for a better understanding of the performance of young youtubers. Only eleven of the fifteen videos intended for the analysis were considered because they met the criteria stipulated by the research. Likewise, of the 150 comments intended for the analysis, only 91 were obtained and analyzed because they met the criteria defined by the research. The conclusion is that the Internet is the ideal environment for YouTube users to interact and become more acquainted with the literary works. The videos can be considered as a useful tool for the librarians of any library, especially in the processes of selection and collection development. Therefore, it is an aspect to be studied in the academic context of Library science field.
