Objetos de aprendizagem como potencializadores para a significação do estudo da biologia no Colégio Estadual Padre Rambo, Porto Alegre/ RS

Abstract

O uso das tecnologias pode trazer inúmeras contribuições na educação, como por exemplo, a autonomia do aluno no processo de aprendizagem bem como a inclusão digital aos alunos menos favorecidos. Os objetos de aprendizagem são materiais educacionais que se configuram como recursos reutilizáveis, acessíveis e que podem ser usados em diferentes plataformas e ainda contribuem com a significação de informações na construção do conhecimento. O presente trabalho apresenta um estudo de caso sobre a aplicação de dois objetos de aprendizagens, intitulados de objeto de aprendizagem 01 (texto e figuras) e objeto de aprendizagem 02 (animação da divisão celular mitose), com o objetivo de relatar os acréscimos e dificuldades perceptíveis no uso desses recursos na disciplina de biologia. Esta pesquisa foi conduzida em duas turmas de primeiro ano do Ensino Médio do Colégio Estadual Padre Rambo, no município de Porto Alegre/RS. Através de um questionário inicial foi elaborado o perfil dos alunos, no sentido de se conhecer as limitações no uso da informática e descrever que tipo de usuário esse aluno é. Os objetos de aprendizagem foram aplicados em dias diferentes e cada um deles contou com um questionário próprio de perguntas específicas e pessoais sobre o objeto. A análise de dados indica que o objeto de aprendizagem 02 obteve a preferência dos alunos. Apesar de serem necessários estudos mais aprofundados para concluir se ocorreu aprendizagem significativa, a pesquisa deduziu que os objetos de aprendizagem são excelentes potencializadores para a compreensão do conteúdo de biologia e que as limitações no uso de conhecimentos de informática não foram relevantes para a execução da proposta desta pesquisa.

The use of technologies can bring a lot of contributions in education, like the student autonomy in the learning process as well as the digital inclusion of the disadvantaged students. Learning objects are educational materials that stand as reusable resources, accessible and that can be used in different platforms and still afford to contribute to the significance of informations in the construction of knowledge. This study presents an case on the application of two learning objects, named learning object 01 (text and pictures) and learning object 02 (animation of mitosis cell division), with the objective of describing the noticeable advantages and difficulties in the use of these resources in the discipline of biology. This research was leaded two Padre Rambo State School’s high school first grade classes, in the city of Porto Alegre/RS. Through an initial survey it was elaborated the students profile, in order to knowing the short comings in the use of computer science and to descrebe what type of user this student is. Learning objects were applied in different days and each one of them has had its own questionnaire of specific and personal questions about the object. The analyses of the data indicate that the learning object 02 got the preference by the students. Although more extensive studies would be needed to conclude if there was a meaningful learning, this research has deduced that the learning objects are excellent enhancers to the comprehension of the biology subject and that the shortcoming computer knowledge weren’t relevant to the execution of this research proposal.
